who we are
April 12, 2017: I can’t put into words how grateful I am for the integrity of your team. What started out as a really big panic and upset for me ended up with my feeling so confident in the work done and so comforted by the kindness and professionalism of your team. If they weren't so dirty, I would have hugged them! -- Bethany, Manchester, MA
With a reservoir of more than 20 years of building science experience, The Worthmore Group LLC is a BPI certified green remodeling, weatherization, and building performance company founded and led by Fred Hopps. Working with both commercial and residential clients on Boston's North Shore, we explore any and all creative solutions for saving energy, saving money, and trying to do what we can together to help save the planet. We are dedicated to making progress -- whether in large strides or small steps -- every day.
We provide clients with complete building performance assessments and full-service energy saving and clean energy solutions, from the most simple to the most complex. Our services include everything from window and door replacement to solar array installation, from wall and attic insulation to state-of-the-art air duct sealing with the revolutionary Aeroseal technology.
Our services have expanded over time, and will continue to evolve with the forward march of technological change. The pace of progress is accelerating dramatically, with efficiencies going up and costs going down. We want to help our clients be part of that clean energy growth and excitement, and we'll gladly help them get all the way to "net zero"* . . . if that's where they want to go.
- OUR MISSION is to raise awareness of clean energy solutions, educate clients on the latest energy saving strategies, and to motivate action.
- OUR AMBITION is to help ALL of our clients achieve energy independence.
- OUR WORTHY GOAL is to get as close to energy independence as our clients want, are able, or can afford to get. Every little bit helps.
* "ZERO NET ENERGY" (ZNE) buildings have zero net energy consumption, which means that the total amount of energy used by the building, in whatever form, is equal to or less than the amount of renewable energy created on the site.
